Network Configurations:

HBS offers the following diverse configurations that will meet the capacity and performance requirements aimed at generating in-store and corporate efficiencies related to the fulfillment of prescriptions.

Multi-Site Common Profile (Co-Pro): For commonly owned groups of pharmacies, the Co-Pro system offers the ability to centralize the administration of all stores through a single CPU. All data files (drug, doctor, sig, etc.) can be shared leaving all remote sites little or no maintenance functions to perform. When customers shop at any of your stores, their complete patient profiles will be readily available, in real-time. The HBS Co-Pro system allows each pharmacy to maintain it's individuality in areas such as reporting, pricing, and Rx labeling. Other features include:

Ability to Refill or Transfer between Stores
Common A/R for centralized filling
Pricing may be shared, or set per store
All reports for either Individual Stores or a Combination of Stores

Chain-Host System: The HBS chain-host system is perfect for multi-site pharmacies with a need to share central database information. The chain-host system is ideal for both commonly and individually owned pharmacy structures such as franchises and co-operatives. Many maintenance functions (third party plan administration, drug file maintenance, etc.) can be performed by the host and broadcast down to the individual locations.
The Co-Pro system (as described above) can also be installed regionally and be supported by a chain host system. The chain host product is a true windows based system with an open SQL database for easy data mining or report writing where these functions are normally performed as opposed to at the store level. Each individual pharmacy has its own CPU with on-line nightly communication to a host system via the internet. Using the internet as the communication vehicle, gives the host the ability to administer a large number of widely dispersed locations. The host serves as a central data repository of information for the group.
Distributed Database: The distributed server model will be designed to run in “downtime” or prescription capture mode in the event of lost connectivity between a pharmacy and the central server. Each pharmacy will have access to local patient, prescriber and prescription information, and the pharmacy would retain the ability to process prescriptions, including the adjudication of the prescriptions printing of labels.

Signature Capture: Track every signature electronically for each prescription. Our integrated electronic signature capture solution supports both table-top and handheld wireless signature capture devices and is compliant with 3rd party log and HIPPA privacy requirements, making third party audits a breeze.
Prescription Scanning (document imaging): The ability to access every written prescription image in seconds! HBS supports the scanning of prescription images, indexing the images for filling purposes and maintaining the image with the prescription to provide for “paperless filing.”
E-Prescribing: Receive new and refill prescriptions directly from a doctor! Our certified SureScripts system allows your pharmacy to receive prescriptions directly into your pharmacy system for review, and continue the dispensing process with just a few keystrokes.
Inventory Management: Maintain perpetual inventories, return to stock, and interface with any wholesaler. HBS supports electronic ordering to wholesalers via ASCII or X-12 communication to maintain a perpetual inventory system allowing for the establishment of reorder points and reorder quantities on a drug item by drug item basis.
Bar Code and UPC Scanning: From patient prescription order “in” to final prescription “out”. HBS supports bar code scanning throughout the system for retrieval of refill information, populating of the dispensed product, verification of the dispensed product, quality assurance checking and Point of Sale scan that activates the signature pad for collection of a patient's signature.
Workflow Management: Efficient and productive prescription processing with quality control. HBS has workflow integrated into the design allowing for seamless interfacing with IVR, Automation and POS systems. One user can fill a prescription quickly and efficiently, or the process may be split among many users at different workstations utilizing the workflow queues to pass Rx info.
Integrated Voice Response (IVR) System: Increase pharmacy workflow and productivity when the lights are off! Offer your customers convenient 24-hour access to your pharmacy by accepting incoming telephone & internet requests, and allow your pharmacy staff to spend more time serving customers in the store, increasing store revenue and value.
Pill imaging: Prevent incorrect dispensing of medications with pill imaging. Pill images can be used during quality assurance checking to insure the correct pill will be displayed and cross-checked with what is in the bottle to prevent incorrect drug dispensing.
Point-of-Sale (POS): Do you require a fully integrated POS system? While HBS interfaces with many POS systems, we are currently integrated with ECRS' CATAPULT POS system to provide a complete "Host-to-Post" scanning solution, which means comprehensive control over prescription movement and walk-out prevention.
Drug Maintenance Updates: Receive updates via the internet daily - not weekly. AWP updates, NDC changes and info on new drugs are available on a daily basis and distributed via the Internet to our users.
Dr. Fax: Automatically send refill reminders to the prescriber. Our Dr. Fax Module allows the system to fax refill request authorization forms directly to the doctor's office, allowing the pharmacist or the technician to stay at their terminal to continue to fill prescriptions and help patients.
Long-Term Care Functionality: Can your retail system support an Institutional/Nursing Home business model? HBS provides one of the strongest Institutional software packages available in the marketplace. It is integrated with our core application providing our retail and “closed door” institutional pharmacy customers the ability to service tens of thousands of beds, at hundreds of facilities from a single location.
Reporting Packages: What kind of reporting functionality do you require? Our system provides an extensive library of standard reports that provides the user with multiple sort options for each report, including all detailed information or simply a totals page. HBS also offers an ODBC connection option that exposes data to the client allowing for custom reports to be created using Crystal Report Writer, Access or any other SQL supported package.
Automation: Do you need to interface to an automated dispensing system? Our system has the capability of interfacing with a wide range of systems including (but not limited to) Automed, Parata, McKesson, Baker Cells/Pharmacy 2000 System, ScriptPro, Pacmed, PharmAssist, and Pyxis.
